Groningen's new train station is equipped with a two-storey underground parking garage that is also intended for use by train passengers and other visitors to the area. The roof is walkable and has been planted with vegetation. The Nophadrain Intensive Green Roof System (combined with pedestrian paving) was used here. The design makes optimal use of space: you can park your car underground and enjoy the scenery aboveground.
