In Leusden AFAS Software has built their new AFAS Experience center: a state of the art building of 62,000 m2, consisting of main offices and intermediate buildings. Besides offices, a sportscenter, restaurant and underground parking, a professional theatre with room for approx. 800 visitors is also part of this project. The buildings are also connected with each other. Around the buildings, a park-like garden is created including a large water pound and a hill to sit on.
The underground parking consists of two layers and can accommodate 760 cars. On top of the roof of the parking, the garden and trafficable area have been created. The roof garden has been realized with the Nophadrain Intensive Green Roof System, of which the ND 5+1 Drainage System is an important component. The ND 5+1 Drainage System has been installed in this area because of its high water buffer capacity and the lack of slope from the roof of the parking.
The higher situated roof garden is provided with the ND 4 + 1h Drainage System, which is part of the ND Extensive Green Roof System. The ND 4+1h Drainage System has been chosen because this part of the roof is designed with a slope.
The Nophadrain Parking Deck System has been used for the trafficable area. The core of this system is the ND 620hd Drainage System. This drainage system has been recommended because this area must also incidentally be accessible for emergency services. In addition, a lightweight substrate has been used by means of the ND DGS-IL Substrate Lightweight. It is also recommended to choose a lightweight substrate because of the high roof load and the desired vegetation, that includes large shrubs. Thanks to this combination, the roof load will not be exceeded.
Nophadrain provides a utility roof system for approx. 8,000 m2:
